Gérard Bertrand wines served at presidential lunches with President Xi Jinping
Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Gérard Bertrand wines served during the presidential lunch in La Mongie with President Xi Jinping and for the High Authorities lunch.
President Emmanuel Macron, President Xi Jinping and their wives had lunch this afternoon at a mountain restaurant in La Mongie, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. During this lunch, the Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Blanc 2022 and the Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge 2021 , produced by Gérard Bertrand, were served to the presidential couples.
We are proud that our group's wines help to celebrate international diplomacy and fraternity between peoples and cultures.
This is the second time that Château l'Hospitalet has been served at a Franco-Chinese presidential meeting. In 2019, the presidents discovered Château l'Hospitalet wines together at the French pavilion as part of President Emmanuel Macron's official visit to China.
The High Authorities' lunch was accompanied by three other wines from the Languedoc winemaker renowned for his expertise and his commitment to viticulture in harmony with nature.
The wines served at the High Authorities' lunch were Cigalus blanc 2022, IGP Pays d'oc, Château la Sauvageonne rosé 2022, AOP Languedoc and Kosmos 888, 2020, AOP Languedoc. The Art Collection Château l'Hospitalet 2020 vintage was among the gifts offered to President Xi Jinping.
